How to Bring More Joy to Your Life
What’s it going to take to make you happy? Getting married? Getting that job? Maybe a big raise? Or retiring? All these things sound great, but it’s unlikely that any of them will actually make you happier – at least not for long.
In this course, created by Life Reimagined, you’ll learn about happiness - what it is and how we get it. Alongside Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky, psychologist, professor, and author of the book The How of Happiness, you’ll be guided through scientifically tested exercises that have been shown to make people happier.
What You Can Expect from this Course
This first set of lessons explore key concepts for the rest of the course - things like the role of genetics in our happiness, hedonic adaptation, and the key practices that science has been shown, if practiced, can substantively make people happier.
These lessons explore three happiness practices designed to cultivate your sense of gratitude, optimism, as well as your ability to forgive.
In these lessons, we look at the practices of kindness and savoring, with some really fun exercises to help you get into both. We also look at strategies for sustaining your happiness practice for the long run.
